My mornings are starting off earlier these days… only slightly, but it’s effective. Now that Ev has officially moved in, we are kind of sort of on each other’s schedules (if that even makes sense?). In other words, if he gets up at 5:40-ish because he has to be at work by 6:30, then I better plan on getting up with him… or doing the sleep with a pillow over my head so I can’t hear him or see any light.
I’d rather just get up at that point. Going back to bed is nearly impossible for me. So, I’m hoping this will make my morning workouts a little more routine. I was always at 2-3 days a week, but I’m hoping this gets me up to 4-5 times a week.

I’ll let you know, but so far… it’s working. AND, I’m enjoying it! I like having somebody get up with me… it’s made it easier. If I know he’s getting up and going to work, I can surely get up and go to the gym.
I’ll let you know how tired this ends up making me in the long run… I have no idea how it’s going to affect me long-term (sleep-wise that is). I need all that extra sleep at some point to protect me from having seizures. So, like I said, I’ll let you know how all this waking up early every single day goes;) So far, so good.
ANYWAY… on a totally different note, this weekend we did something super fun! We went tennis shoes shopping.

Besides regular shopping, this might be my ALL-TIME favorite thing to do. If I could wear awesome workout clothes and new tennis shoes to work… I’d for sure have the coolest job in America. I actually really like my job, that would just make it amazing. ANYWAY, here is what I’m on the hunt for ladies. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
I have ASICS for running (see them above). I absolutely LOVE them for that, BUT, I’ve been doing a lot of cross-training type workouts at the gym and I want smoother soles for that (without so much tread). Rick, my old trainer, told me that the shoes I have (my running shoes) aren’t really made for the gym for like weights and cross-training. SO, I’m on the hunt for a new pair:)

Saturday I had it narrowed down to these two pairs. Only problem, one pair was a nine and one pair was an eight. I’m an 8.5. So, I went home sad and empty-handed while Ev went home with a sweet new pair of Brooks. I was a little jealous, but if the shoe doesn’t fit… just keep looking;)

It’s true! She is:) I will let you know what I end up with… I don’t plan on going home empty-handed again! AND, if you have any suggestions/recommendations on which ones to buy… I’m all ears!

I know how you feel! I do the exact same thing when M gets up earlier then me…LOL
